Is note taking on an iPad worth it?
This doesn't quite answer the question, but I find it fairly easy to write out even complex equations and solve them on my iPad Air. I've been using the same iPad to take notes in all my classes since Sophomore year of high school (six years). When I switched from pencil and paper to a stylus and screen, I noticed little difference in legibility but a noticeable decrease in writing speed. After all this time I can write with a stylus at about the same speed as writing with a pen and paper. In terms of what I use, I have a mesh tipped stylus (replace every 6â12 months instead of monthly rubber tips) and write all my notes on the Notability app. I imagine the Apple Pencil is far better than my stylus.

I've lost a lot of writing in my life. I've been through the pain of the loss of a loved one. And as I got older, I got to a point where I felt as though I could be so much more efficient as a writer if I took care of my writing more consistently. What I mean by that is, when I wrote in high school, I would write in my journal on Monday, I would put all of my assignments up online and on Thursday I would do an essay. And then on Friday I would do the homework because that's how much time it took me to write that entire semester. Writing is an act of memory. You will have some good days and some bad. A bad day isn't necessarily worse than a good day because everyone goes through ups and downs in their own lives..
