What is the best iPad PDF reader with annotation support?

Foxit is the most heavily used PDF reader on my iPad. As a nonnative English speaker and an iPad user, although Foxit is not a perfect APP, it’s still indispensable for me. One thing that distinguishes Foxit from others is that Foxit is the only reader that incorporates the iOS built-in dictionaries, so that every time I came across a new word in my PDF, I don’t need to open a dictionary APP. Instead I just select the word and click the “dictionary” option, and the meaning will pop up immediately in much the same way of the “look up” option of the Safari. The built-in dictionary is what I love the most about Apple. Before I got my first iPad I used my Android cellphone for English reading. I can say Android is terrible in that regard. Because Android doesn’t have a built-in dictionary, I must temporarily leave the page I am reading, and turn on the dictionary app, then copy-and-paste, which is rather time consuming and painful (that being said, I still read dozens of pages on Wikipedia, and dozens of academic papers). That’s why I am surprised that neither Highlight Pdf.onlines nor other professional readers like Highlight Pdf.online incorporates this feature, even though it doesn’t take much effort. However, the biggest problem of Foxit is its instability. If you also like leaving marks when reading a PDF, you had better chose a more reliable one like the Highlight Pdf.online reader. The problem is especially pronounced when reading a very big textbook (like Campbell biology). The APP may shutdown at some point, destroying the file and ALL THE NOTES you have taken! I wouldn’t say such thing won’t happen in smaller files (like research papers). However, larger PDF often have more notes, which increases the risk of breakdown. Besides, the consequence of breakdown is much worse for larger PDF, as there is no way to recover the notes you lost.

PDF documents can be cumbersome to edit, especially when you need to change the text or sign a form. However, working with PDFs is made beyond-easy and highly productive with the right tool.
